In this high-definition age where new ideas are redefined hourly, people are always on a run of newer innovations. In this Microsoft galaxy, Macintosh stratosphere and planet Linux, the only question left is; which computer can define me as a person? In the past few years this irony has “redefined” the definition of “tyranny” for the current saturated market of desktop computers.
The 21st century is known as the age of terabytes and gigabytes. Big giants of yesterday are looking forward for the next revolution. Emphasizing the good old' time to relive in this century, these giants are somewhere lost in their two-dimensional universe, between a liquid crystal display and a plastic molded case.
It seems that the well known "Cerberus" of this 21st century are looking beyond the boundaries of technology, trying to create something new and innovative that will appeal the masses in an all together different way. Today, every "less exploited" areas have now reach the point of a next good possible billion dollars head start against everyone else, waiting patiently to get saturated again in less than the number of nano seconds.
After the launch of first computer, things have changed to a great extent. Now, we need a better CPU, more memory, more storage, video card capable to render in real time, billions of polygons per second, and word processing software that introduce thousands of functions. In the past few years performance has changed and so has the concept of a personal computer.
Now, we have laptops that come with a built-in AC power supply, so that it can plug into a wall outlet with a simple ordinary plug-in. Often with the more recent laptops it has become more convenient. Laptops are purchased for their mobility. One can imagine a 270 degree panoramic view of a virtual world projected in front of you using a head mounted display, where you can interact freely with objects that respond to the movements of your hands or change the current field of view of your desktop, that contain objects and 3D windows floating around, by simply moving your head.
May be for some of us, it seems difficult to imagine, but everybody has to admit that a new revolution needs to take place, a revolution that will change the way people think, communicate and interact with information, a revolution that will change our vision and concepts that have change our society for already more than two decades.
The current limitations of the personal computer desktop of today are pushed, pushed to the next level, another level where the difference between the real world and the virtual world boundaries are redefined, where the users can interact in a new dynamic constructive and visually appealing way, and increase their level of productivity.
Isn't it hard to draw the line between the real and the virtual world!!
Summary: Whether it’s a desktop computer or a laptop computer, technology has engulfed them for the betterment
